Xbox Series X and Series S have finally been available since yesterday, but a general outage on Xbox Live caused problems for players with the new consoles who were unable to play.
Microsoft‘s support team acknowledged the interruption of services as of 7:01 pm GMT yesterday and was notified to users that work was underway to fix the situation. As gamers were unable to log into Xbox Live, some found that the console couldn’t verify ownership of a game and allow access.
Microsoft said it encountered issues in Xbox Live core services and Destiny 2, which received a huge patch for the Beyond Light expansion yesterday.
The Xbox One and Xbox 360 service scans seemed to be fine, although some features were slow on uploads.
