Sony claimed that it didn’t color the PS5 ‘s DualSense controller buttons for simplicity.
Speaking to the Washington Post, PlayStation senior art director Yujin Morisawa said the company wanted a simple-looking controller.
” With the exception of special editions, we have always used those colors, ” Morisawa said. ” For PlayStation 5, we tried to eliminate what was already there. I wanted to simplify it and make it universal .”
” The shape pattern already shows what the button will be. You really don’t need a color for the buttons .”
The result is a rather elegant white design with black trim on the buttons; however, like the DualShock 4, Sony has said the DualSense controller will be available in other colors in the future.
PlayStation 5 will be released on November 12 in select regions and on November 19 around the world.
