Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has recently received patch 4.1 that, in addition to correcting some errors, introduced the Performance and graphics quality mode on SS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
As noted by Digital Foundry, this update did indeed make improvements to the Xbox Series X/S version of the game, but it seems that on PS5 the title has deteriorated. For this reason, the British editorial team has returned to analyze the game after the release of patch 1.04.
According to the new analysis, the PS5 version has some framerate problems compared to before the update, while on Series X, in Performance mode, the game is anchored at 60FPS with some rare drops.
Despite the improvements on Series X from the point of view of the framerate, there is a drop in the resolution that from 1440p drops in some cases to 1188p. The problem of screen tearing has also been solved on the Microsoft console.
In Graphics mode, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla runs in stable 30FPS on both PS5 and Series X with native 4K resolution.
The “small” from Microsoft, Xbox Series S, instead of presents a performance mode at 60FPS with an average resolution of 800p which sometimes drops to 720p.
