Following reports that the PS5 broke the PS4 launch sales record in the UK, Gfk confirmed that Sony’s console was the most successful platform for the region in November. About 900,000 consoles were sold in the four weeks ending November 28th.
Although PS5 was on top, Nintendo Switch came in second place. Hardware sales increased 96%, and during Black Friday, Switch sales increased 63.1% compared to the same period last year. Considering the 2.38 million physical games sold from October 25 to November 21, Switch accounted for nearly 35% of that total.
The new best-selling game of the month was Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The Activision shooter has sold significantly fewer physical units than previous games in the franchise, with the vast majority of sales coming via digital download. Below you can take a look at the ranking.
