League of Legends A LoL Park uninhabited hosts the matches of the LCK closed-door
It is now two years that Riot Games present LoL Park, a stadium built only and exclusively to enjoy the best League of Legends live. The LoL Park became from September 2017 in the operations center of the LCK, the league of LoL Korean and probably the most relevant at the global level.
It is located in Jongno-gu, Sel, and allows the entry of 500 spectators. Throughout its nearly 18,000-square foot, we find an area specific to the press and fan meeting, a plant cibercaf, a Riot Store and, of course, a sort of museum where we find statues and 3D shapes to the uniforms of the teams of the LCK.
The stadium has been recently cover in many of the international media due to, and how not, to the Coronavirus. The Covid-19 est making a dent in all areas of life, including the competitions of esports. A few weeks ago, I decided that the LCK was made behind closed doors without the count even with the presence meditica. Some of the lucky ones that were able to attend the meetings did not lose the opportunity to record the stadium without people, something that is usually not usual. In the stadium, just listening to the voice of the coaches, the players talking among themselves and the sound of the fans.
However, and despite these preventive measures, Riot has taken the decision to postpone indefinitely the Korean league to the hope that the Coronavirus d truce and to resume the activities without any risk of contagion; as it explained: “Due to the growth of the epidemic caused by the COVID-19 and focused on protecting all members of the league, we decided that the LCK and the Challengers Korea will be suspended indefinitely. Currently we do not have a date of return to activities, and we will be very aware of the situation within the pas to choose a time of return appropriate”.
For the moment, in our country LVP has decided to suspend the final face-to-face SLO that was to take place in Vistalegre the next 4 April. The day will celebrate that same da but online to avoid the concentration mass of individuals to the measures imposed by the Community of Madrid.
