Sony has recently released a new video dedicated to games coming to PlayStation 5. The video also reveals the launch windows for Horizon Forbidden West, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and other titles. However, it appears that the trailer didn’t provide a release window for the God of War sequel.
Obviously, the absence of God of War Ragnarok in the video worried fans. In a teaser trailer for the game released in September, it was revealed that the God of War sequel will be released in 2021. And given that all the games mentioned in the latest PS5 trailer are the biggest titles coming out next year on the console, everyone expected the presence of God of War Ragnarok.
Sony probably didn’t include God of War Ragnarok in the trailer because the game may have been postponed to 2022.
However, the absence of God of War Ragnarok could also mean that Santa Monica hasn’t yet scheduled the launch for a specific part of 2021. Or maybe there’s a separate big reveal in the studio’s plans.
Since God of War Ragnarok is probably one of the biggest games coming to PS5, the latter possibility is by no means to be ruled out, so it will be interesting to see what happens in the coming months.
