After some leaks, rumors, and so on, WB Montreal during the DC FanDome event has unveiled the project it is working on, which is Gotham Knights. In the game Bruce Wayne is given up for dead from the start, leaving Gotham City’s protection in the hands of his wards, Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, and Red Hood.
Fans have already seen a taste of Gotham Knights in two-player co-op, but the team has also confirmed that similar to older Batman Arkham games, fans can play completely on their own. Obviously, as regards the single-player mode, some questions remained, especially about the internet connection, since many single-player games require it anyway.
In a recent interview, Senior Producer Fleur Marty confirmed that players can experience the full game not only on their own but also offline. When playing offline, players will not lose any content by not being connected to online servers. While the team believes that collaborating and experiencing the game in co-op is a great experience, they don’t want to impose that style of play on everyone.
Recently, it was also revealed that Gotham Knights will feature additional gameplay moments outside of the main story with the Court of Owls. We remind you that Gotham Knights will be available from next year on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
