With the release of Devil May Cry V Special Edition, are you among those who can’t wait to find out where the series will go, with a future chapter entirely next-gen?
Well, that’s a shame because it looks like we won’t have a new Devil May Cry anytime soon. This, at least, is what was declared by the well-known insider Dusk Golem, who has often proved reliable when it comes to the rumor Capcom.
What does the deep throat claim this time? According to Dusk Golem, Devil May Cry 6, or whatever the next title is called, won’t be released anytime soon and it could take several years for it to appear. Specifically, the insider speculates a wait of 4 years, if not even longer.
The interest in a new DMC started when, a few days ago, a leak publicly revealed all future Capcom projects, expected in the next 3 years. Among these, there are new games of Resident Evil, Dragon’s Dogma, and MegaMan, as well as titles still without an official name. The absence of a new Devil May Cry rightly worried fans, who flocked to Dusk Golem in search of explanations, as they would hardly have received a response from Capcom itself.
Of course, both the insider’s words and the stolen list in question are to be cataloged as rumors and nothing else, so let’s give these statements the appropriate relevance, without exaggerating.
I was on the road and sleepy when I wrote this, so ridden with typos, but yes. Get ready to wait for several years for DMC6. https://t.co/TQZswW8awE

Although we will have to wait several years before seeing Dante’s return, the latest adventure is still noteworthy. We remind you that Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, updated version of the original DMC5 for Xbox One and PS4, is available on PC, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, with support for ray tracing, Vergil as a new playable character, Legendary Dark Knight mode and so on.
