Developer CD Projekt Red has again confirmed the postponement of Cyberpunk 2077. It is only supposed to be postponed by 21 days and not appear in November as planned.
When will Cyberpunk 2077 be released? According to the developers, Cyberpunk 2077 will now be released on December 10th. So it is a shift of 21 days.
This is the 3rd postponement of the release date. At the beginning of 2020 it was postponed to mid-September, followed by the postponement to mid-November. So now it will take even longer.

Corona crisis should be to blame for the postponement
The developers write: CD Projekt Red names the greatest challenge that they have to test Cyberpunk 2077 in 9 different versions. Including the new consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S. But Google Stadia, the PC, and the old consoles also have test versions.
All of this has to be done from the home office and therefore leads to delays. The developers write: “It might sound strange when someone says that 21 days makes a difference in such a large and complex game, but it really can.”
The developers recently announced that the game had reached “gold status”. That means it’s done and the content is complete. However, there is now a shift.
CD Projekt Red says: “But that doesn’t mean that we stop working on it and increase the quality of it.” The developers believe that the time period that these improvements will take cannot be calculated.
First reactions to the shift
The reactions are mixed. There is a lot of understanding of this shift. After all, it is not the only game that was postponed during the Corona period, most recently the new WoW expansion Shadowlands.
But others are also disappointed, as they took extra time off for the release period to be able to play.
I understand the decision but… a lot of us I’m sure asked for a time off on our jobs to be able to play this game since you guys have said no more delays was going to happen. I have a lot on my mind with this decision.

A tweet from Cyberpunk 2077 also stands out. Yesterday they were asked whether the game would actually be released in November. They also wrote that they gave a “full confirmation” for it. Well, a day later, it looks very different.
However, there are also numerous positive comments. Among other things, it says: “All right, take your time:”
All good, take your time.

Cyberpunk’s subreddit is flooded and blocked
This is what it looks like on Reddit: The postponement is making big waves on Reddit. The subreddit for Cyberpunk 2077 writes that they temporarily blocked the creation of threads. This is because there is simply too much spam posted around the move.
The moderators do not allow any more pictures and every text post is checked. They call on the players to first check whether their topic has already been addressed in another thread.
In the gaming subreddit, on the other hand, the thread about the postponement landed directly at number 1. The tone is a bit more moderate here, but there is still a lot of discussions.
While a release was expected in April at the beginning, you have to wait even longer now. The postponement is not too long, however, and you can look forward to the action RPG at Christmas time. However, if you are hoping for the multiplayer part, you will have to wait even longer. It has been announced, but will not follow until later.
At the beginning of October, Cyberpunk 2077 made headlines around over time so that the game would be ready on time. The additional hours were not enough for that.
