Some players of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion have reported issues with saves on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, which causes hours of progress to be wiped out and, in some cases, bugs force you to start all over again.

The problem is particularly serious for Watch Dogs: Legion, where there is no manual save and no multiple saves. A thread on Ubisoft’s official forums features several players describing their lost progress, with community leaders acknowledging that the developers are indeed looking into the issue.

There doesn’t seem to be a definite event for the Watch Dogs: Legion issue. Some report that this is manifested by switching to a new team member.

In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which maintains more than one manual save along with the automatic one, players have reported that their save menu shows one or more saves as ” corrupted data ” and the only option is to delete them.

The problem appears to be persistent and affects all manual saves from the glitch point forward. A support manager in Ubisoft’s forums thread asked a gamer how much space they had on their hard drive, but they all report a lot of space for that data.

” The manual saves are all corrupted, the automatic saves are working and the quicksaves are not corrupted, ” said one player. ” So basically I have to wait for an autosave before I quit the game and hope for the best .”

Ubisoft has not, at this time, released any comment on the reported issues.
